" Thanks for the great boost your organization gives to the Arboriculture industry. Since retirement from Springville City, Utah, my time has been devoted primarily to consulting. I still climb and have been teaching my grandson the art and science of arboriculture. Perhaps he will carry on the work and be involved, as I have, in promoting excellence in craftsmanship and sound science. ArborMaster has filled a void that has existed in the tree care industry in the US since well before the Second World War. My training started in 1955 under a graduate of arboriculture who tutored me on a personal basis for two years. What a tremendous difference your company would have made back then! Rip Tompkins and I co-founded and in early 1996, we incorporated ArborMaster®.  We have always shared a vision of, and a passion for state of the art technology and a dedication to a high standard of best practices -for the work we love and for all professional people that work with, in, and around trees.  

We began our careers as working arborists, first meeting as head to head competitors in the 1991 International Society of Arboriculture's New England Chapter Tree Climbing Championships. During the next several years, we were both fortunate (and driven) enough to earn four (4) world class titles as International Tree Climbing Champions.

In the years that followed our careers as ITCC competitors, we served on the International Society of Arboriculture's ITCC Committee.  While at the same time, we built and developed our own organization, learning to serve our customers, and help them with solutions for their workforce development needs.  

Today, we are proud and blessed to employ a number of top notch professionals, that have become the best team of instructors in the green industry. Together, we have had the opportunity to serve the tree care industry as change agents, helping to make important strides in safety, skill and productivity; however our work has only just begun.  We have learned how to make an even greater impact, by developing and deepening our core training programs, and expanding our service offerings of evaluation and consulting.  

Everyone here at ArborMaster® is excited about 2008!  With a renewed passion, and an even clearer vision, we're building on the foundation and success of our first 12 years of service. We deeply appreciate the trust you have placed in us and will continue to earn your trust as we grow into the future.
